Privacy Policy
RoleLift is an AI-assisted interview preparation application. This policy explains what information is processed, why it is processed, how long it is retained, and how you can delete your account and data.
Information we process
- Account identifiers, an optional verified email address, and authentication session information.
- Target role, optional company, seniority, interview settings, and preparation preferences.
- Optional CV or resume text and job-description text submitted to personalize interview questions.
- Interview audio, transcripts, generated questions, feedback, scores, reports, and progress history.
- Subscription product, purchase, and store-account status provided through Apple and our subscription service provider.
- Standard security and operational information such as request timestamps, error records, and network information processed by our infrastructure providers.
How information is used
- To authenticate users and protect private account data.
- To generate personalized interview questions.
- To transcribe recorded answers and produce interview coaching reports.
- To track interview credits and verify RoleLift Pro access.
- To prevent abuse, investigate errors, secure requests, and maintain the service.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests.
AI processing
RoleLift uses OpenAI services to generate interview questions, transcribe interview recordings, and evaluate transcripts. The information required for the selected feature may therefore be sent to OpenAI for processing. This can include role settings, optional CV and job-description text, interview audio, questions, and transcripts.
Permission for OpenAI processing
Before any information is sent for an AI-powered interview feature, RoleLift names OpenAI and asks for your explicit permission. If you refuse, that AI operation will not proceed. You may revoke permission at any time in Settings & Privacy → AI processing; revocation stops future OpenAI processing. Revoking permission does not automatically delete existing reports or transcripts. Account deletion remains available separately in Settings & Privacy.
Service providers
- Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and serverless processing.
- OpenAI provides question generation, transcription, and interview evaluation.
- A subscription service provider helps verify purchase status for RoleLift Pro access.
- Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription billing.
We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising tools to track users across unrelated apps or websites.
Storage and retention
- Raw CV and job-description text is used to generate questions and is not stored in interview reports or normal application database records.
- Interview audio is stored privately while processing. It is deleted after a successful report. Failed or interrupted processing recordings are scheduled for deletion within 24 hours.
- Interview reports and transcripts remain available until the account is deleted.
- Generated-question cache and request-protection records expire after 30 days.
- Purchase records maintained independently by Apple may remain subject to Apple's legal and financial retention requirements.
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your RoleLift account inside the app through Settings & Privacy → Delete account. Account deletion removes the RoleLift account and associated application data that we are not legally required to retain.
Deleting your RoleLift account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed separately through your Apple account.
Security
We use access controls, authenticated requests, private storage, database policies, and encrypted network connections intended to protect application data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, information is handled under applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
Children
RoleLift is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You may delete your account and associated data from within the app. You may also contact us regarding access, correction, deletion, or privacy concerns.
